Personal Support Services
- Counseling Center - Stress reduction
services are offered to students, faculty and staff. Individual counseling,
group counseling, sexual assault crisis, and substance abuse recovery options
are also available. Additional programs and information can be found on
their Web site.
- Family Resource Center - Here you
will find resources listing babysitters and elder caregivers, classes on
parenting and elder care, as well as information to help balance work time
with family life. Services are provided to MSU faculty, staff, students
and retirees.
- Health Education - A division of Olin Health Center, Health Education offers free, anonymous
HIV testing and counseling. Other programs include RUBI (Respecting and
Understanding Body Image), alcohol awareness education, the MSU Student
Food Bank, and the Condom Connection.
- Human Resources - Faculty
and staff having work related troubles, or wishing to file a grievance,
will find assistance from Human Resources.
- Resource Center for Persons with
Disabilities - Students, faculty and staff with special needs will find
assistance here. Requests for specific living accomodations and parking
should register witht his office. Students with learning diabilities, including
Attention Deficit Disorder, will also find assistance in completing classwork.
- Safe Place - MSU Safe Place
is for MSU students, faculty, staff, retirees or their partners, and children
who are experiencing an emotionally, physically or sexually abusive relationship.
Counseling and temporary housing options are available.
- Women's Resource Center - Through informational resources, programs and acitvities, the Women's Resource Center strives to promote the participation of women the campus community and acts as an advocacy group for women's issues.
